Jody joined the Shout Sister family in 2009 and has been having a blast ever since. When Georgette Fry decided to franchise Shout Sister Jody Benjamin was an obvious choice to test the waters. She is a talented musician and comfortable in front of groups of women from her many years of singing in bands and teaching dance. She is friendly, fun and genuinely loves people.
Biography
Jody has been dancing since she could stand up. For her it's all about the joy of moving to music. Usually the first one on the dance floors she is an avid live music fan and then she began her own career as a musician in 1988 when she formed The Toasted Westerns with Sally Robinson. You might remember The Toasted Westerns if you were around Ottawa in the 90's when they were in their heyday. They had a lot of fun entertaining folks with their eclectic mix of Honky Tonk and Jazz.
