Carol Earnhardt has been the artistic director of the Heart of the Triad Choral Society since its beginning in 2016. A National Board Certified Teacher, she received the Master of Music degree and the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is currently pursuing the PhD in Music Education. Since 1998, she has been the chorus teacher at Glenn High School. Since that time, the choral department at Glenn High School has grown to be one of the most respected choral programs in the state, performing by invitation at Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral, the North Carolina Music Educators Association Conference and the North Carolina American Choral Directors Conference.
Biography
In January 2019, she was excited to be appointed as the Assistant Director of Choral Activities at High Point University. In 2006, she was elected as the Teacher of the Year for Glenn High School and, in 2007, was named the 2007/2008 Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Teacher of the Year. In 2016, Mrs. Earnhardt was named High School Choral Teacher of the Year by the North Carolina Music Educators Association. A sought-after conductor and leader, she has served as clinician for multiple all county choral clinics and is currently the president-elect of the North Carolina Music Educators Association.
Mrs. Earnhardt’s proudest accomplishments are her marriage to Mike Earnhardt since 1989 and her five wonderful children: Ashley and her husband Roman Brady, John Michael and his wife Emily Earnhardt, and Chase.
