The Armidale Choral Society, founded in 1971, originated from the University Choral Society formed in the late 1950s.
Known for performing large choral works, the choir gained popularity with performances like Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven’s Mass in C. The choir has worked with many guest conductors and accompanists from our local University and Conservatorium. The Choral Society has maintained a strong partnership with the Armidale Symphony Orchestra, performing a major choral work together annually.
