The Cappella Singers of Upminster is an amateur, mixed voice choir.
We sing a wide range of music from the renaissance to the present day. Although mostly singing classical music, we enjoy singing folk music and some jazzier pieces too!
We are always ready to welcome new members to our choir.
Our History
The Cappella Singers is well-established in the area, having been founded in 1967 by local musician and piano teacher Freda Drage.
We are a friendly group of people who enjoy singing together and are always ready to welcome new members.
Additional Info for Choristers
We rehearse on Thursday evenings in term-time from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
There is no formal audition, just come along and try a rehearsal free of charge to see if this choir is for you! All our members should be able to read music, at least at a basic level. The ability to sight-sing is helpful, although not essential.
Please get in touch with us before coming so we are ready to welcome you.
