Norfolk Camerata has recently officially changed it's name from North Norfolk Chorale. The choir has been established since 1783 and is a non- auditioning choir - SATB. We have rehearsals in the North Walsham Methodist Church every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. We are extremely lucky to have our new MD Jonathan Dodd who has taken the choir to a much higher level of singing taking us away from just being a chorale society. We aim to put on two to three concerts each year and also sing for charity 'The Big C' to help raise money.
We are also preparing a repertoire in order for the choir to sing at Wedding and other occasions when ask to do so.
Norfolk Camerata is our new name, we were originally known as North Norfolk Chorale, but now we are a smaller choir and have a much higher standard of singing the Board and the members all agreed that this is something we needed to do in order to separate the choir from being a chorale society. We are under the new directorship of Jonanthan Dodd who has been with the choir for 2 years.
To join the Choral Nation would help to get us known and also inform the members of Choral Nation that there is a choir in Norfolk who put on regular concerts in order to give joy to the public of North Norfolk. It hopefully will also help us to obtain more members that are interested in becoming a part of our wonderful choir.
