Bridport Voices

Bridport Voices is a thriving community choir led by Penny Dunscombe, a member of the Natural Voice Network, whose specialism is world folk music. All songs are taught orally and are sung a cappella. There is no requirement to read music notation, and no audition process - and no previous experience is necessary. The choir chooses to perform only occasionally, as the joy of coming together every week without the pressure of "rehearsing" is very appealing to many of the members, who tend to have very busy lives! Nonetheless, the singers work to a high standard and take pride in their achievements. Sessions are lively and even inexperienced singers find themselves participating in glorious multi-part harmony from the outset. There is usually a waiting list for membership of this group so it is advisable to plan ahead!
