Pineridge is part of a world wide organization of women of all ages and all walks of life who are committed through education and performance to singing four part a cappella harmony. We are part of Region 16 in the Sweet Adelines organization.
Our History
Women’s a cappella harmony has been part of the Uxbridge music scene for over 30 years. In the spring of 1981, a group of ladies who were interested in singing barbershop harmony got together to explore the possibility of starting a chorus. They advertised in the local newspaper, encouraged their friends and neighbours to join them, and in a very short time they were established as a “Prospective Chorus” of the Sweet Adelines International Organization. Uxbridge Chorus entertained the community as the members developed their musical skills and knowledge of the Barbershop art form.
