Durham Savoyards

This homegrown theatre troupe was created in 1963 out of love for that perfect combination of W. S. Gilbert's satire and Arthur Sullivan's sparkling music.

The Savoyards take their name from London's Savoy Theatre, where many Gilbert and Sullivan operattas were first produced. Performing the complete G&S canon in repertoire, the company has cultivated a large, diverse audience across the Triangle and beyond.
