Voices, The City of Derby Girls Choir is for girls aged 12ish - 19ish. With a repertoire rooted in the classical genre, the choir also sings some jazz, pop and musical theatre arrangements.
Our History
Voices celebrates its 25th season! We're looking forward to celebrating our silver jubilee. The choir was established in 1995 by Ann Miller and since then has been a major part of the Midlands music scene. For many years Voices was based in The VoiceBox, in Derby - the wonderful music venue for arts and voice teaching. Since the VoiceBox 'closed' becoming a space for Derby Theatre, the choir has been rehearsing at a number of venues, but particularly in the lovely, intimate Allestree Methodist Church. Our musical director is Dan Miller, and the girls are fortunate enough to have help and pastoral care from Ann Miller, former choristers and supporting parents.
