Chicago Children's Choir was founded in 1956 as a technique to unite children from different backgrounds. The choir is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing multicultural choral music education. The children in the choir range in age from eight to 18 with the majority of the children coming from low-income households without the likelihood of having access to music education. Chicago Children's Choir is a national and international touring ensemble in 25 countries on five continents and has performed for dignitaries and many noted celebrities.
