My goal is to connect with choirs and artistic directors and have premiered those poetic works of mine which have been set to music. Among those orchestral and choral compositions still in progress, I highlight the completed works of two composers:
Carlotta Ferrari (Italy): A sample of four shorts for voice(s) can be found on the ISMLP free library and on YouTube (see my links). Several more still being scored will make up a complete repertoire and future album. Instrumentation ad libitum.
Klaus Miehling (Germany): Dr. Miehling has completed three motets, opus 282 for SATB/SATB choir/organ, based on my versification of sermons supplemental to the Divine Office. Approx. 30 min. in length. Score available upon request.
Other composers with unfinished works based on my texts are found at: darcyblahut.ca
Biography
I am a Canadian poet and librettist with three full-length books of poetry to my name, as well as chapbooks and a draft stage comedy. Ongoing musical collaborations include scores by international composers based on my texts: versified sermons supplemental to the Divine Office, cantos upon the Song of Solomon, madrigals, hymns, cantatas, opera, and miscellaneous experimental suites and ballads. Other interests involve the scaling and extension of my children's works into multi-media.
