Justin Guignard is one of New Brunswick’s up-and-coming conductors. Having started his conducting career at the age of 16, he now considers his baton an extension of his hand. Guignard has an affinity for lyrical conducting, something he has developed through his extensive career as a singer under the tutelage of Melody Dobson, Daniel Lichti, Victor Martens, and Monette Gould. His voice has led him to perform in such prestigious venues as the National Arts Centre (Ottawa) and Carnegie Hall (NYC). Having studied composition with Dr Glenn Buhr and Dr Richard Gibson, Justin’s compositions have been performed by orchestras and choirs from Canada, the Dominican Republic, Israel, and the United Kingdom. Justin has recently completed his degree in Composition at the Université de Moncton and a degree in Education from Crandall University.
