Since 2007 Antonio Magarelli has been the director of the Cappella Musicale Corradiana, choir and orchestra, based in Molfetta, performing as guest in different Italian Music Festival and animating the liturgy at Molfetta Cathedral. He has conducted more than one hundred concerts.
Biography
Antonio Magarelli graduated in Piano, Music Pedagogy, Choral Music and Choir direction, Band Instrumentation and Orchestral Conducting from Bari and Monopoli Conservatories of Music.
He continued his studies of conducting technique and interpretation of the repertoire with Peter Neumann, Gary Graden, Nicole Corti, Javier Busto, Bo Holten and Dominique Rouits. He attended the International Academy for Choral Conductors and Singers in Fano and the Choral conducting seminar at Monopoli Conservatoire, with Filippo Maria Bressan. He studied singing technique with Claudio Cavina and Steve Woodbury. He specialized in the interpretation and practice of the Renaissance and Baroque repertoire with Giovanni Acciai, Ottavio Dantone and Marco Berrini.
