Scott Uddenberg is a well-known conductor, soloist, chorister, and educator in the Chicago area. He is the founder and director of Elmhurst Choral Union Chamber Singers.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in choral music education from DePauw, and a master’s degree in vocal performance from DePaul.
Scott serves on the voice faculty at Elmhurst College. He has co-directed and music-directed many productions at the college’s Mill Theater.
He is a member of American Choral Directors Association, National Association of the Teachers of Singing, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, and Choristers Guild. He is also a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists and serves as delegate for the Chicago Symphony Chorus.
Biography
A seasoned performer, Scott has appeared as soloist with Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Music Festival, Ravinia, and Music of the Baroque. His extensive stage credits include roles at Florentine Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, and Chicago Opera Theater.
As a longtime member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Grant Park Chorus, Scott has worked with many of the world’s finest choral conductors including Margaret Hillis, Thomas Peck, Donald Palumbo, Christopher Bell, David Randolph, Sir David Willcocks, and Duain Wolfe.
