Charlton Kings Choral Society (CKCS) is a friendly choir of about 70 enthusiastic amateur singers. We sing popular choral classics, less frequently-heard works and contemporary commissions written for us. Concert accompaniment is generally by the professional Regency Sinfonia orchestra. We give two major concerts per year in May and November, plus a carol concert.
Most concerts are held in St Phillip & St James Church, Grafton Rd., Leckhampton, Cheltenham .
We are presently rehearsing the Rossini Messe Solonelle plus three small pieces by Faure and R. Knight for performance on 20th May 2023.
Weekly rehearsals from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m., with a break, are held at the same venue.
