Located between Sunderland and Newcastle, in the North East of England at Cleadon (near Boldon) on South Tyneside, Compass Acapella are a not-for-profit choir of Men and Women from all walks of life who enjoy singing men's arrangements of popular songs 'a cappella' (without accompaniment) in four part close harmony. The choir are also members of Making Music and the National Association of Choirs.
We currently have singers aged 18 and over from the North East and beyond and from all walks of life. You don't need experience or the ability to read music, most of us had no formal training before joining us. With some enjoyable hard work, very good vocal coaches and teaching techniques we have learned to sing well together.
