About Our Choir

Cool Choir is a new concept in choirs that takes the traditional classical or community choir experience and injects modern well-known rock and pop songs into the singing experience. Although this choir concept is new to Calgary, it is extremely popular in the U.K with many choirs around the country.

We offer fun weekly rehearsals utilizing well-known hit songs with original vocal arrangements. Cool Choir is a fun and energetic evening out where you'll meet like-minded individuals with a love for singing - no matter their experience. We sing everything from Queen, Michael Jackson, and Tom Jones to today's pop artists - Ed Sheerhan, Coldplay, American Authors and much, much more! Unsure if Cool Choir is for you? Our History

Direct from the UK, Cool Choir is Calgary's FIRST, all-inclusive, NON-AUDITIONED adult rock and pop choir experience, launched in multiple locations across the city in January 2016!

 

OVER 350 CALGARIANS ARE ROCKING OUT WEEKLY AND FINDING THEIR VOICE! Cool Choir is proud to be the largest and only non-auditioned adult rock and pop choir in Calgary!

 

In October 2016, Cool Choir was nominated (and subsequently became a finalist!) for a Calgary Small Business Week Award in the People's Choice Category.

 

In May 2017, Cool Choir came runner up in the category "Best Music Act" as part of the Best of Calgary Awards.

Additional Info for Choristers

There are no auditions and the taster session will give you the chance to take part in a normal, weekly rehearsal on your choice of date and location across Calgary.

 

Rehearsals at this location are on Monday evenings from 7:45pm to 9:45pm.

 

Our fees: $20/week. This works out at only $200 plus GST for each of three, ten week trimesters per year. A one-time payment of $20 for your Cool Choir t-shirt required.

 

Only pay for the remaining weeks following your FREE "taster" session.

 

Once you join, attend as many rehearsals as you wish each week across Calgary (up to SIX HOURS of singing!) at no extra charge! Our rehearsal locations:
