Founded in 2010, Joyful! Noise sings relevant, accessible, beloved songs. They range from the complex to the elegantly simple, from contemporary classical numbers to beloved show tunes and pop numbers. And, always chosen with a new ear so it seems like you’re hearing your favorite song again, but for the very first time.
Knowing all the wonderful things music does for individuals and their society, we wanted a place where people of all experience and expertise levels could join and feel the joy. Ask any Joyful! Noise choir member, and they will tell you we are well on our way to doing that
Joyful! Noise is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and would appreciate your support. Our ticket sales provide for only a limited amount of the financial support we need. If you want to help us spread joy, please consider making a gift.
Our Mission
Our mission is to use the power and magic of singing to be the community we want to see in the world, and to reach out to the broader community in joy. We believe in being a nurturing environment, and we strive for excellence while having fun.
We also reach out to other communities to help them know the joy that singing together can bring. One of the ways we do this by contributing tickets to people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend a live performance. Non-profit agencies are chosen by our singers, many near and dear to our hearts. Some of the past recipients of our ticket gift program are: Lifelong AIDS Alliance, Bailey-Boushay House, Recovery Café, Cancer Lifeline, Treehouse For Kids and Mary’s Place.
Our Director
Our conductor and artistic director is Jeff Thirloway, who has been the leading man on stage in theater productions throughout Southern California and the Puget Sound, and has been singing and conducting sacred, secular, classical and musical theater as long as he can remember. He founded Joyful! Noise with his wife, Melissa, because he saw the need to make the joy of singing something more pervasive and powerful in human interactions.
