UpRoar! People’s Choir is a singing community who meet once a month. The songs we sing reflect a wide variety of social and cultural issues. Through these songs, we share our collective interests, both local and global. We also support a number of local causes and charities, collecting money at our gigs.
From September to November 2018 we will be concentrating on core repertoire from the Campaign Choirs repertoire, as well as some fab stuff from Boff Whalley, Janet Russell, Penny Stone, Ali Burns and many others. Each workshop is stand alone - there will be no ongoing learning and the songs will be easy and accessible.

Our Mission
Started in 2015, by Musical Director Kirsty Martin, our choir adheres to a ‘Natural Voice’ practice, meaning that no one is excluded from joining. Membership is open to anyone who wants to sing, regardless of their experience or education. There are no auditions and no need to be able to read music. We sing together to celebrate diversity, and champion mutual respect and understanding in the wider community. UpRoar’s mission is to become as inclusive and accessible a choir as we can possible be.
