Wavelength A Cappella are a group of friends who aim to have fun and sing to a high standard. Singing popular songs old and new we have a constantly changing repertoire. We encourage potential new singers to come along to one of our rehearsal evenings to see and hear what we do—you'll be very welcome.
Our History
We started as a group of friends who had sung together in another choir that didn't quite give us what we needed musically. Since then we have grown slowly and have been lucky enough to have some really lovely people join the fun.
If you are a woman and can sing we would love to meet you. You don't need to read music but you do need to be able to carry a tune and be willing to sing harmony parts and not just the melody. It also helps if you don't take yourself too seriously!
Additional Info for Choristers
First week is free than it's £5 per week. We rehearse for 50 weeks a year with a couple of weeks off over Christmas and New Year.
There is no formal audition but we will all be listening to what you do and being able to sing in tune is a minimum requirement.
We ask our singers to learn songs at home and we supply high quality rehearsal tracks and sheet music for that purpose.
You will need a certain level of commitment although it's not something we get hung up about, so long as you keep up with the progress we make with a new song.
