Our History
The Wine Valley Harmonizers is the emerging barbershop chorus at the communities within the western Riverside and San Diego border. This growing chorus is a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society's Far Western District (Southeast Division).
The chorus was formed in January of 2007 when Temecula resident, Jonathan Friedman, a veteran member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and the award-winning chorus Masters of Harmony, wanted to sing barbershop closer to home. Friedman saw the opportunity of establishing a new chapter local to the growing communities of Southwest Riverside County and North San Diego County.
In 2010, the chapter experienced a resurgence of interest and membership as the chapter was officially chartered and incorporated. For the first time, the chapter produced two competing quartets at the 2010 Southeast Division Convention held in Alta Loma, CA.
Today, the chorus continues to grow and serve the local community with regular performances during special holidays and local sporting events.
