About Our Choir

We are a well-established South West London chamber choir, with Charity status, [Charity no : 1119202]  consisting of around 20 mixed voices, which is part of the vibrant musical life of the London Borough of Merton.

Why You Should Join

If you enjoy singing then Come and Join us for interesting and tuneful Rehearsals. We perform 3 Concerts a year and we have ten rehearsals for each concert. Our Musical Director, Benjamin Newlove, is full of energy and gives an uplifting feeling to each piece of music we tackle !

Additional Info for Choristers

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Term time at St Matthews Church, Durham Road,SW20 0DE, at  7.30pm to 9.30pm, with a break in the middle.  We have ten rehearsals in preparation for each concert. We hope that members will attend all the rehearsals, if they can.

Fees are currently per term £80 per term full cost ; £70 for Seniors ; £25 for Students and unwaged.

Three Concerts in the year - Christmas time -  Spring time - Summer time.

Our Mission

As a Charity we are keen to encourage all people to sing,  from all ages, and to come and enjoy music. We sing a very wide and varied selection of music. Once a year we have an informal  music choosing soial evening where the choir members bring refreshments and discuss together future music they would like to perform. We are especially interested to make close connections with Primary school children and have had school choirs come and sing their choice of songs at our concerts.  Similarly with our Audiences we try to reach out to as many people as we can and encourage them to come and listen to our Concerts.
