The Singers organization is dedicated to giving world-class performances of the finest choral literature. The Singers, a professional choir of 40 members, exists to serve as artists, educators, and advocates of the choral art. Recognized nationally for their innovative programming, commitment to new music, and peerless artistic quality.
Our History
Founded by Artistic Director Matthew Culloton in 2004, The Singers has premiered and commissioned over fifty new works by composers Stephen Paulus, Abbie Betinis, Jocelyn Hagen, Joshua Shank the Minnesota chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. In 2008, The Singers performed at the ACDA North Central Division Convention, the American Guild of Organists National Convention, and shared the stage with the Harvard Glee Club. In 2010, The Singers performed a collaboration concert at the ACDA North Central Convention under the baton of Craig Hella Johnson. In March 2011, The Singers performed at the National Convention of the American Choral Directors Association in Chicago.
