ACHILL CHORAL SOCIETY CONCERT Alliston, ON - In the Heart of the World

Achill’s 75-member choir, led by artistic director, Shawn Grenke, sings Morten Lauridsen's beautiful, Sure on this Shining Night, Mozart’s lively Regina Coeli  as well as his popular Coronation Mass. Mozart had just returned to Salzburg after 18 months of fruitless job hunting in Paris and Mannheim, and his father, Leopold, promptly got him a job as court organist and composer at Salzburg Cathedral. The mass was almost certainly premiered there on Easter Sunday April 4, 1779. Come out and enjoy these and many other beautiful pieces Achill will sing for you. Spring is here!
