Description

As always, our goal is to share an unforgettable experience with choirs from all regions, learning, singing, meeting people, exploring beautiful landscapes. Located in a beautiful valley, surrounded by Green mountains, Medellin will host Corearte to share days of music and exchange. The “City of Eternal Spring” offers a rich cultural life, and the Festival will also offer the choirs the chance to sing in places with architectonic value and enormous cultural interest. Corearte Medellín will run from Tuesday 19 – 24th November. We will have 3 great workshops that include Colombian music by Cecilia Espinosa (Colombia), Contemporary Sacred Music (works by Johan Duijck) by Francisco Simaldoni (Uruguay), and Children and Youth music by Voicu Popescu (Romania). The competition will be held at the partner host EAFIT University on 21 and 22 November. The announcement of the winners will be on Saturday 23 November, during the closing concert of Corearte Medellín Festival. The competition is divided in three categories: male choir, female choirs and mixed choirs. There will be almost 9,000 in cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place winners of each category.
