Description

Sine Nomine's Spring performance project, with director Anne Lyman, is a celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the death of French Renaissance master Josquin des Prez (c.1450-1521). The course will feature the 'Missa Sine Nomine' - 'Mass without a name' - and other pieces to showcase Josquin, and will include movements from 'Missa Sine Nomines' by other composers from Mexico, England, and Italy.

This virtual singing opportunity is open to EVERYONE who has a love of Renaissance polyphony and would like to learn more about the music, history, and culture that makes this music so uniquely beautiful. And although we hail from Seattle, WA - you can complete the project all in the comfort of your own home! The course will be 5 weeks; online lessons and resources will be made available and there will be Zoom meetings on Thursday evenings. Since the project will be conducted online, please feel free to share this invitation with family, friends, and others - we love having out-of-town guests!
