The Saint John Men's Chorus, Cantores Celestes Maritimes and Kelly Galbraith (director) present 'Winter Solstice' a classical choral Christmas - Saturday Dec 10 7 pm Portland United Church. You will have the opportunity to hear the premiere collaboration with Cantores Celestes String Quartet featuring: cello- John Buckley, viola - Susannah Mckenzie-Sutter, violin -Jane Quinn, and Chris Reibling. Rob Dutton is on trumpet and Carlos Avila on oboe. The glorious 'Gloria' by Vivaldi sung by Cantores Celestes (and originally written for women) is featured along with beautiful music sung by both choirs. Dr Kevin Langford and Rebecca Burrill accompany the choirs with Kelly Galbraith directing. Seating is limited and tickets are $20! Choirs will be masked and masking is required by our patrons.
