A 60-strong choir based out of Anaheim, southern California. Our basic season of four concerts encompasses a wide variety of musical literature and always includes one classical masterwork. In collaboration with other choirs, we broaden our reach to high schools, senior citizens, and churches.
Our History
Meritage grew out of Cypress College in North Orange County. Spearheaded by Dr. Sheridan Ball, whose over 30-year tenure at Cypress College as a professor and choral director, engendered many avid vocalists, eager and committed to share their talents to create beautiful choral music throughout OC.
Initially, Dr. Ball’s large-scale choral organization, the Cypress Master Chorale, had a small spin-off ensemble that performed special works for Orange County audiences. This small specialty ensemble was called Camerata Singers (date forthcoming) and evolved into (date forthcoming) what is today the Meritage Vocal Arts Ensemble.

Why You Should Join
If you love singing, can read music fairly well (you'll learn with us), and want a challenge across a wide range of music, come and join us. Our music director is both brilliant and funny, and we have the very best accompanists. See our Join Us page - with application form. It helps if you live within a 20-mile radius of our rehearsal location in Anaheim.
Additional Info for Choristers
Rehearsals most Tuesdays from 7:30-10 PM. Most everything you could want to know is on our website. We expect attendance at all rehearsals and the major 4 concerts. But of course, we understand conflicts arise from time to time. Just have a word with the Membership Secretary.
