Vibrant Voices - Voix Vivantes,

the multilingual vocal ensemble of Quebec was founded in September 2014. The choristers sing songs of the world – classic, traditional, folk, popular, contemporary etc. - in various languages and styles. The group’s special feature is that rehearsals are held in both English and French.

Singers are introduced to the art of choral singing in an open and creative atmosphere where they can explore their innate ability to sing and learn to hone their vocal expression and sound.

The director, Katharina Urbschat, holds a University degree in Music Education and a diploma in Choral Conducting from Germany. She accompanies the ensemble on the guitar, the piano, the harp, the recorder and the ukulele. She speaks and sings in English, French and German, has a working knowledge of the Spanish and Italian language and music, and always likes the challenge of learning a beautiful song in a language she doesn’t know yet.
