Founded in March 2014 by 9 singers with David Navarro Turres as conductor, Serenata Vocale at first concentrated on Christmas concerts (in 2014 and 2015), as well as weddings and christenings upon request, whilst working on a varied a Capella repertoire featuring composers such as Mendelssohn, Poulenc, Ravel, Thompson, Busto, Gjeilo, Vic Neez and Yupanqui. To broaden its repertoire, especially with works for a larger choir, Serenata Vocale was joined by other singers and today boasts 16 members from a variety of backgrounds, all with the same love of polyphony and an eagerness to discover different cultures, with a focus on 20th century and contemporary works.
