How long does is take to prepare a masterpiece? Not as long as you would think!
If you're a singer, join Elmhurst Choral Union to learn a masterpiece in a single afternoon.
Conductor Scott Uddenberg will race against the clock to prepare Handel's Coronation Anthems (all 4) in 2.5 hours.
If you are not a singer, come at 4:00 to hear the results and meet the performers afterwards.
The event will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Elmhurst, 142 E. Third St.
Tickets are $20 singers, $5 audience, and available at elmhurstchoralunion.org, 800-838-3006, or at the door.
And yes, the Brits are still using some of this music at coronations!
